The work kept going for hours. We woke the sleeping fireplaces throughout the tower. The light was that of a sun. The stone walls cowardly hide beneath their layers of neglect. However, the walls in the study were no mere cowards. They were alive and seemed to be breathing. Glossy red wallpaper with white patterns covered each wall. The white ornamental shapes differed but kept the red and white color theme. During the wall's exhale the patterns became abstract while the inhale showed more detail and symmetry. Dye was interested in capturing this moment. It would be tricky with them in constant motion, but he found a happy medium between the two extremes and painted two versions.

The first painting was from the wall behind the large wooden desk located in the center of the room. The wall was long, and ripples ran through the patterns when it would expand. The air in the room seemed dense, and the intensity almost made you nauseous. It would force your gaze back towards the walls. These red walls had an energy about them, and I think the sorcerer was punishing them. There is something in these walls and its tragic. Dye layered different shades of red with various sheens. The walls were almost sweating and dripping. Dye captures the hint of lines rippling through the pattern. The glossy white was soft and became abstract. Making you wait for the inhale.
