The Mantra

Madam Nesting sat back and seemed to take us all in. She looked at us with warmth and an understanding gaze. She knew our struggle, and that battle mirrored her own. I stretched out my hands to fulfill a feeling an impulse that suddenly came over me. My hands stretched out and into the hands of Dye and Maker. Their eyes were closed and gripped my hand with subtle importance and strength. I felt a connection that was unmatched in all my journeys. More than sharing a victorious battle or a romantic defeat. This feeling was magic.

Madam Nesting whispered with a heavy tone and beautiful cadence, "This moment is granting you a wizard's mantra darlings. Forgive your ego's need to find its place in this and allow it to wander far from our circle and find peace."

I could no longer open my eyes. Whatever was happening, I was deep and too far gone to revolt. Acceptance at this level isn't heroic its fate. The table started vibrating. Madam spoke, "To truly see life and all its glory and illusions you must have...?"

Dye answered, "Eyes Wide."

She continued, "The art of the cognitive must be pliable and willing it must have...?"

I answered, "Mind Open".

Her whisper became a song, "If we continue to chase the tools and dragons we will never claim our true prize which is the process, we must live in the...?"

Maker yelled, "Now!"

Her words began to break up and stretch resembling jazz. "Only when we free our mind from our rigid habits are we able to create pure music, we must...?"

Hummer answered, "Let Go."

She laughed, "Abracadabra!".

Eyes Wide
Mind Open
Let Go!

"The Wizard's of Circaeus have their mantra!"

I opened my eyes to everyone giggling and wiping away tears. Madam Nesting stood up and howled, "We shall give the Dark Mountain Sorcerer his final gift!"

We stood up like men and screamed with our Witch like the children we were.
